This spring quarter, in a program modeled on the popular Bravo series Inside the Actors Studio, the History Department's seminar on Biography will launch an innovative exploration of the inner workings of life writing. On Thursday afternoons, Steven J. Zipperstein, Daniel E. Koshland Professor in Jewish Culture and History, will engage in conversations with noted literary biographers including New Yorker writer and Colette biographer Judith Thurman, rock critic Greil Marcus -- who will speak about a new book on Bob Dylan -- and former New Republic book editor Ruth Franklin now writing a biography of Anne Frank. The public is invited to participate in these discussions together with students enrolled in the class. Stay tuned for a live-streaming option that will also be made available. Join for one or all of the events in the series.
