She spearheaded some of the greatest battles for women’s and gay rights. A brilliant and sexy superstar who inspired thousands. So how come you never heard of Sally Gearhart?

Sally! highlights the life and legacy of Sally Gearhart—a charismatic, trailblazing lesbian-feminist, activist, professor, and fantasy author. Balancing humor, insight, and heart, the film is at once a celebration of a radical icon, a glimpse into queer life and culture in 1970s and 80s San Francisco; a meditation on the tensions inherent in revolutionary moments, and a powerful reflection on the lessons her work offers for today’s struggles for civil rights, justice, and equality.

“Funny, provocative, and deeply moving” – The Boston Globe
