The Journal of Transnational Studies announces its latest issue—and a new co-sponsor.

The Journal of Transnational American Studies (co-founded by Shelley Fishkin and co-sponsored by Stanford’s American Studies Program) is delighted to announce that the Obama Institute for Transnational American Studies in Mainz, Germany, will become a co-sponsor of the journal, and a new editorial home. This new and important collaboration opens an avenue to multiple and diverse connections among institutions, faculty, students and readers. We hope that this productive partnership will allow the American Studies Program at Stanford in the US and the Obama Institute in Germany to foster outstanding scholarship in Transnational American Studies for many years to come. We are pleased to announce that JTAS’s new Editor-in-Chief will be the Director of the Obama Institute, Alfred Hornung, one of the leading Americanists in the world.

The current issue of JTAS has just been released.  You may access the entire issue here.
