New Issue of The Journal of Transnational American Studies Out Now!

Announcing a New Issue of the Journal of Transnational American Studies,  co-sponsored ty Stanford’s American Studies Program and the Obama Institute of Johannes Gutenberg University, Germany.  This issue features a Special Forum of six essays on “Teaching and Theorizing Transnational American Studies around the Globe” edited by Yuan Shu and Selina Lai-Henderson as well as a “Forward”  section containing excerpts from fourteen new books including Denise Khor’s Transpacific Convergences: Race, Migration and Japanese American Film Culture Before World  War;  Erin Suzuki’s  Ocean Passages: Navigating Pacific Islander and Asian American Literature;  David Stephen Calonne, The Beats in Mexico; and much more.
